Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength! – Isaiah 52:1
When people enter into a revival, they no longer see men as trees walking (Mark 8:22-26), but they see things in that strong light which will renew the love of God in their hearts. This will lead them to labor zealously to bring others to Him. They will feel grieved that others do not love God, when they love Him so much. And they will set themselves feelingly to persuade their neighbors to give Him their hearts. The above words were spoken by a great revival preacher, Charles G. Finney who is called as The Father of Modern Revivalism.
In the month of December 2008, I cried out to God surrendering myself completely to Him and asking Him to use me. Then I had a clear guidance on leading Women to Christ and leading them to a great revival. That’s how the First Women’s Revival Meeting started in our Jesus Family Tamil Church, Jersey City, NJ on January 31 (Saturday) 2009. More than 50 Sisters gathered together and we worshiped our Lord in one accord. Through Conference Call Prayer, we had only heard the voices of many Sisters and it was a great joy to see them face to face. Sisters came from NJ, NY, PA, DE, MA and CT. Women who were looking for someone to share their problems or wipe their own tears, after attending these meetings and conference call prayers, began to console other women who were going through a lot of afflictions according to II Cor 1:3,4. The real meaning to Revival was realized in these women’s lives.
In these Women’s Meetings many sisters were blessed during the praise and worship session. In our first meeting, there was a sister who came for the first time to our Church and was under severe demonic oppression. During the praise and worship session, she felt a dark spirit leaving her body and she was completely delivered and started coming to our Church and took water baptism and shared her testimony in other Women’s Meetings. Hallelujah! Glory to God. Testimonies of sisters who are secret Christians encouraged many to understand the love of Christ. Spirit filled anointed messages revived every sister who attended the meetings and everyone left the meetings with a great burden and zeal to serve our Living God. In the afternoons, games were conducted to boost up their spirits and a Talk on Family related matters was given to counsel them on problems facing their family lives.
We pray that we will have many more Women’s Revival Meetings in many areas of USA to kindle every sister’s soul to serve Christ with passion. This call involves a commitment to train, develop, inspire and instill within women the desire to fulfill their potential in life with a sense of dignity, belonging and destiny. Our aim and hope is, if a woman feels the touch of Christ in her life, she will stand as a witness for Him and will also lead her generation (her children/grandchildren) to CHRIST. And for the glory of God, we see this mighty Revival happening now.
